This is a photogrammetry study project. I was trying to learn workflow of transferring real world weapon parts into 3d with using only kitchen supplies and some camera. It took me almost 2 months, to get the camera settings, light setup and computing process to get a desirable result (and even now i see more ways on how to improve it). It was somewhat time consuming process, but for the end result it took me one day of shooting photos/computing them and another day to finish up the textures. To clarify the process - at first i did a rough half-assed scan to get model that used as a reference to make old style hardsurface model (it was real handy having all the reference right in a viewport in 3d with all right proportions) and then making best quality scan to bake albedo from it. It was a real challenge doing mostly black painted reflecting piece of metal but in the end i think I've achieved some satisfying results. Kudos to Alexander Khaliman for giving me some pointers and Alan Van Ryzin Boss for Marmoset Beta 4 render help.
